Journey Maps

Milo uses journey mapping during the design challenge framing and synthesis phases of the design process to visualize key themes in the data and to identify community members’ priorities.

Milo created this journey map for the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing Community Aging in Place Program (CAPABLE). This journey map helped them better understand the paint points and opportunities for deepening impact within a nurse’s process of joining and then becoming a veteran of the CAPABLE program.

Milo’s preferred method of journey mapping is to facilitate community members through their own journey mapping process because they believe insights tend to be most relevant when they come from people with lived experience related to the design challenge.

Milo created this journey mapping activity for stroke survivors to complete themselves in order to reveal key areas of opportunity for improvement during the stroke recovery journey.
